Educator Training Policy
At Scoot Education, we believe in investing in the development of our employees by offering fair compensation during their training period. The purpose of this policy is to establish a framework for paid training to ensure that participants receive compensation for their time and effort spent in acquiring new skills and knowledge relevant to their role within the company.
All individuals who participate and complete the training programs must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Must be a current or prospective employee of Scoot Education
- Must be enrolled in an approved training program provided by Scoot Education
- Must have obtained necessary approvals from their Education Consultant or HR department
Compensation:
- Participants in paid training will receive compensation at the local minimum wage rate as per the relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
- Compensation will be provided for the actual hours spent on training as tracked and verified by the HR department.
- Payment will be made on regular paydays according to the company’s payroll schedule.
Onboarding Training:
- Onboarding training must be completed prior to being booked in an assignment and within 7 days of activation. New Scoot Educators will be placed into an assignment as soon as mandatory training has been completed.
- Training may include health and safety training, sexual harassment, mandated reporting, workplace violence, and Scoot’s creating inclusive classrooms.
Duration:
- Employees must seek pre-approval to spend more than the allotted time on any assigned training.
