The Details

Your hourly pay rate will be based on your credential/certificate, the school being taught at, hours worked and teaching history. Before accepting a teaching assignment, you will be informed of the exact pay rate in accordance with the below table.

Scoot’s pay schedule is on a weekly basis, one week in arrears.

Your pay is subject to all applicable taxes and withholdings, your position will be considered a non-exempt position, which means that you will be eligible for overtime pay in accordance with the federal Fair Labor Standard Act and/or state wage and hour law.

Refer to your offer letter for pay rate information.

We offer direct deposit of employee paychecks to all employees who provide a written authorization for direct deposit and we encourage employees to enroll in our direct deposit program.

If the scheduled payday falls on a holiday, paychecks will generally be distributed on the following business day.  Any questions about the amount of pay or deductions should be brought to the attention of your Consultant or Human Resources ****immediately.

Overtime Pay Policy - CA

Scoot may periodically schedule overtime work in order to meet business needs.  We will attempt to give as much advance notice as possible, and we expect that all employees who are scheduled to work overtime will be at work.  Otherwise, all overtime work must be pre-approved by your Consultant.

We expect that all employees who are scheduled to work overtime will be at work.

The Company’s workweek begins on Monday at 12:00 am and ends on Sunday at 11:59 pm.

Employees who want to work overtime must receive written authorization from a Scoot Consultant before working overtime. Working overtime without Scoot Consultant’s approval may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

Overtime Pay Policy - AZ, CO, FL, NV, NJ, D.C., LA and TX

Scoot Education compensates all non-exempt employees overtime pay for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a workweek at one and a half the employee’s regular wage.

The company’s workweek begins on Monday at 7am and ends on Friday at 4.15pm.

At times, employees will be asked to work overtime to complete necessary work tasks. The employee’s Scoot Consultant will notify the employee as early as possible regarding scheduling needs.
