Scoot seeks to ensure employees are properly paid for all work performed. Employees must record all time worked, including the time work starts and and ends each day and the start and end time of each meal break. Employees must also record any time worked outside scheduled work hours. Employees may not work beyond their scheduled hours or work from home unless authorized in advance by their consultant. Employees should not report to work prior to their scheduled start time or stay after scheduled stop time without authorization from their consultant.
It is each employee’s responsibility to examine their paycheck and pay stub to ensure they are being properly paid for all work hours and the paycheck and pay stub are accurate. Any employee who believes they are not being properly paid for all work must immediately inform Human Resources.
Working “off the clock” is strictly prohibited. If any manager or supervisor directs you to or suggests that you should perform work while not “on the clock,” you must notify the Human Resources team immediately. Educators may not complete work tasks outside of their scheduled shift (including, but not limited to, lesson planning, grading, parent teacher conferences, school meetings, etc.). If you are asked to do this in a placement at a school or if you find you are not able to complete your duties during your scheduled shift, you must notify Scoot immediately. All time spent working must be reported on the employee’s time record.
If you forget to clock in or out, or if you believe your time has not been accurately or fully recorded, you must notify your consultant immediately so the time can be accurately recorded for payroll purposes. Only your consultant or other member of management is authorized to change an employee's time record, and only to accurately reflect actual work time.
Your obligation to accurately record all hours worked does not relieve you of your obligation to obtain advance approval from your consultant before working overtime or hours beyond your regular work schedule. Educators who work overtime or outside-schedule hours without prior authorization may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Employees must record all hours worked, as follows:
